The Live Board

Waiting, Washing, Ready. Each car carries its plate, service, washer, price and a running clock, so the office sees the whole yard without walking it.
- Add to Waiting when the bays are full, and the washer is still recorded now
- Minutes on every card, so the car that has waited longest is obvious
- Every card shows whether the key is held at the office
Checkout
Paid once, recorded once, key back
Pick the car, choose Cash or M-Pesa and complete. The payment, the washer's commission and the returned key are closed together.
- A car can only be paid for once. The database refuses a second checkout
- The M-Pesa code can be kept against the payment
- Cash tendered works out the change, and the books record the price, not the note handed over

Commission nobody has to argue about
Each washer has a commission rate. When a car is paid, WashFlow works out that washer's share and fixes it to that wash for good.

Office-first
The cashier runs the system. Washers claim cars physically, the way they already do.
Three roles, three views
Owner, manager and cashier each see what their job needs, and the server enforces it, not just the menu.
Money in whole shillings
No rounding errors creeping into a day's takings. Amounts are stored as exact shillings.
Overrides leave a trail
Charge a different price and the list price is kept beside it, recorded against whoever made the change.
More than one branch
Open branches as you grow. Staff are pinned to their own; owners switch between them.

Asked before every walkthrough.
Do my washers need phones or accounts?
No. WashFlow is office-first: the cashier or manager records which washer took each car. Washers never log in.
Does it work with M-Pesa?
Yes, as a payment method: at checkout you choose Cash or M-Pesa and it is recorded, so the day's split is always right. Automatic confirmation from Safaricom, where the payment appears on its own, is coming but not switched on yet.
How is washer commission worked out?
Each washer has a rate. When a car is paid, WashFlow calculates the washer's share and fixes it to that wash. If you change the rate later, past commission does not move.
I have more than one branch. Does that work?
Yes. Each branch has its own board, staff and numbers, and the owner can see any branch alone or all of them added up.
What do I need to run it?
A browser and an internet connection. A laptop or tablet in the office is enough, and it also works on a phone.
